SMS is a specialised consultancy run by Belinda Moore (formerly Busoli) and Julian Moore. Together they bring to the SMS team a wealth of experience from the Australasian and European nonprofit sectors.

Belinda and Julian came together both personally and professionally through a fortuitous combination of circumstances. Belinda and Julian met after hearing about each other’s successes at work via the association grapevine. They were keen to meet in person. Since they were both attending the same conference in Barcelona they arranged meet for a cup of coffee.

It was love at first sight and many hours later they were still talking over the same cup of coffee (now somewhat colder). After returning to her hotel room later that day Belinda called her mother and told her "I've met the man I'm going to marry" ... lucky for them both she didn't tell Julian about that until after they were engaged!

Shortly after Julian moved to Australia and the rest is history. They both passionately love the work they do in the nonprofit sector almost as much as they love each other - so working together was a foregone conclusion. 

Belinda and Julian have a wonderful life together. They live together in wedded bliss in Brisbane with their dogs ... as well as a large collection of lorikeets, galahs, kookaburras and other assorted native birds who have taken up residence in the backyard. 

Ever the romantic, Julian recently surprised Belinda with a new addition to the family – a black Moodle (Maltese X mini-poodle cross) puppy called Awesome who was born on their wedding day. The three dogs currently living with Julian and Belinda were not exactly overjoyed but are slowly warming to the little bundle of hyperactive fun. All cats in the vicinity have now moved on permanently.

They are expecting their first child together in October and are very much looking forward to introducing their new son to Julian’s three wonderful children - Harry, Charley and Jude. Julian has promised not to name the new baby.

With the baby coming soon Belinda and Julian were very pleased to welcome Michaela Chin onto the SMS team.
